In short
The Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen, founded in 1710 by Augustus the Strong and producing in the Triebischtal workshops in Meissen since the 1860s, trains apprentices in its own crafts. Apprentice manufactory porcelain painters learn traditional Meissen hand painting in the manufactory's own drawing school; apprentice industrial ceramicists learn either to make objects by manual techniques or to decorate and finish them. The company also trains in retail and in restaurant service, and states that it was named an outstanding training company by the chamber of commerce (IHK) in 2022.
