The Metal program is part of the Department of Art of the State University of New York at New Paltz, in the Hudson Valley, and offers a BFA and an MFA in contemporary jewelry and metalsmithing. The undergraduate curriculum starts with fundamental craft skills, materials and processes, then moves on to more advanced techniques and technologies, with students producing bodies of work exhibited at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art.
