In short
Strate École de Design is a private design school founded in 1993 by Jean-René Talopp, with Maurille Larivière and Jean-Pierre Sciamma, and recognised by the French state. Over five years it leads to the title of industrial designer, a state-certified master's-level diploma, with specialisations including transport and mobility design, where students learn to design vehicles, their bodywork, interiors, colours, materials and finishes, as well as sustainable mobility and space design; it also offers master's programmes and a transportation design course in English. Its main campus is at 27 avenue de la Division Leclerc in Sèvres, near Paris, with workshops, a fablab and a machine shop for models and prototypes; the school opened a campus in Lyon in 2019 and is also present in Bangalore.
