In short

Sund folkehøgskole is a non-denominational folk high school in Inderøy, at the inner end of the Trondheimsfjord; the school states that it was founded in 1868. Its Historical Crafts line (Historisk håndverk), offered as a full year or as a half-year course, introduces many traditional crafts with mainly traditional tools: forging a knife blade, smithing, log building, plant dyeing, band and floor-loom weaving, birch-bark work, sheepskin sewing, pewter casting and nålebinding. The line is run in cooperation with the Stiklestad National Cultural Centre, where part of the teaching takes place.
