In short
At its Mendrisio campus, SUPSI, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, offers a Bachelor of Arts in Conservation within the Swiss Conservation-Restoration Campus, the federal network whose programmes lead on to the Master in Conservation-Restoration. At SUPSI the specialisation is wall paintings, stuccoes and stone surfaces: students learn to document, analyse and conserve cultural heritage through scientific and humanities subjects, laboratory work, teaching worksites and external internships. Lessons are mainly in Italian. The department also provides diagnostic and scientific consulting for conservation projects.
