In short

The Secondary School of Art in Ostrava is a secondary vocational school with an art focus, founded in 1990 and run by the Moravian-Silesian Region. Its fields are industrial design (product design and packaging design), photography, ceramics, painting and graphic design with graphics, illustration and animation. Product design students design tools, household appliances, toys, furniture and street furniture and build prototypes with 3D printers and lasers; ceramics students learn traditional techniques and make functional pieces in clay and porcelain. The school has buildings on Poděbradova and Matiční streets.
