The Faculty of Applied Arts and Technology of Takoradi Technical University trains students in art, design and technology. Its programmes cover graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, textile design, fashion and industrial painting, and its departments include Ceramic Technology, Textiles Design and Technology, Fashion Design Technology and Industrial Painting and Design. The university was established in September 2016, when Takoradi Polytechnic was converted into a technical university.
