The Faculty of Textile Technology of the University of Zagreb became an independent faculty in 1991, according to its site, continuing textile studies organised in Croatia since the 1960s. It offers university programmes in textile and fashion design (fashion design, textile design, costume design, theory and culture of fashion) and professional programmes in clothing technology, footwear design and footwear technology, alongside textile engineering and a doctoral programme.
