The School of Design of Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore has taught design since 1990 and describes itself as the first design school in a Singapore polytechnic. Its diplomas include Fashion Management & Design, in which students specialise in fashion design or fashion management and build their own collection, and Product Experience & Design, which covers physical and digital products from user research to hands-on prototyping; the school says it has run the first product design course in a polytechnic for more than 30 years. Studies begin with a semester-long Design Foundation common to all courses.
