The Higher Vocational School of Textile Crafts and Secondary Art School of Textile Crafts in central Prague focuses on fashion and textile design, combining craft skills with contemporary applied art. The secondary school teaches textile art and garment modelling and design in four studios: clothing, home design, new media and textile design. The higher vocational school offers part-time study in the conservation and restoration of textiles. The school traces its roots to the lace school set up in Prague in 1767 under Maria Theresa, and has run the Emilie Paličková Gallery in its building since 2008.
