In short

The TextielLab is the professional workshop of the TextielMuseum in Tilburg, housed in a former textile mill on the Goirkestraat. Designers, artists and students from the Netherlands and abroad develop prototypes, collections, autonomous works and graduation projects there, weaving, knitting, embroidering, tufting and making passementerie by hand and by machine. They work side by side with the lab's product developers, who advise on technique and materials, programme the machines and manage the project; makers apply with a project proposal, and the lab also runs open calls for graduates.
