Tohoku University of Art and Design is a private university in Kami-Sakurada, Yamagata, with a Gaien campus in Kita-Aoyama, Tokyo. Its Department of Craft Design works with four materials, metal, textiles, ceramics and lacquer (with woodwork), developed in four fields: fashion and jewellery, interiors, craft and fine art crafts, combining traditional handwork with digital tools such as laser cutting and 3D printing.
