In short
The Embroiderers' Association of Canada (EAC/ACB) is a national, volunteer-run charitable association that officially came into existence in November 1974, after a group of embroiderers first met in Winnipeg. It offers its members distance-learning technique study courses in embroidery, from introductory 'A Taste of…' courses through basic, intermediate and advanced levels, each guided by a counsellor, and an Instructor Certification Program for those who want to teach. It also runs an annual seminar, a needle arts lending library and a heritage collection of embroidery, with chapters across Canada.
