The Totnes School of Guitarmaking is an independent luthiery school in Totnes, South Devon, established in 1985. It runs twelve-week full-time guitar making courses for up to five people at a time, in which each student builds their own instrument from the design through construction, decoration, set-up and finishing using traditional methods. Almost any kind of guitar or related instrument can be built, and the course is open to beginners and advanced students from the age of sixteen.
