In short
Turquoise Mountain, a charity registered in Scotland that works to revive traditional crafts and historic areas, runs craft training in Jordan to train a new generation of master artisans from across the Levant. It offers entry-level and advanced apprenticeship programmes in crafts including woodwork, stone-carving, embroidery and jewellery, open to refugees and host-community members, at two training centres in Jabal Amman and northern Amman, with entry-level training also in Zaatari refugee camp. The programme adds business management, design and entrepreneurship training and helps graduates find work in the craft sector; visitors can see the workshops on Rainbow Street in Jabal Amman.
