In short
The University of Beira Interior in Covilhã teaches fashion design through its Department of Arts, which covers cinema and design and has been in operation since October 2019. The bachelor's degree in fashion design combines design methodology with textile and garment-construction technologies, craft techniques and the region's wool tradition, and students can use the weaving workshops and textile collections of the Wool Museum. The university also offers degrees in industrial design and in sustainable fashion technology and product, and a doctorate in fashion design.
