The Universidad de Las Américas (UDLA) in Quito offers a degree in Product Design (Licenciatura en Diseño de Productos) covering the whole design process, from concept and prototyping to production, with a digital fabrication laboratory (FABLAB) equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters and a robotic arm. According to the site, students design furniture, toys, footwear, clothing, accessories, packaging and household products, from craft to industrial production, and can earn complementary certificates in digital fabrication and design management.
