In short
The Faculty of Art and Design of Universiti Teknologi MARA is based at the Kompleks Ilham in Shah Alam, Selangor; the faculty dates its origins to June 1967, under the then Institut Teknologi MARA. Its undergraduate programmes include fashion design (pattern making, garment construction and embroidery), textile design (weaving, printed textiles and batik and resist techniques), ceramics, metal design and industrial design, alongside fine art, graphic design, photography and motion design. Since 1982 it has had its own complex of studios, laboratories, galleries and workshops in Shah Alam.
