In short
The Department of Textile Engineering of the University of Minho, on the Azurém campus in Guimarães, teaches textile engineering and fashion design. Its programmes include a bachelor's in fashion design and marketing, which trains designers to create clothing and accessory collections and brands, master's degrees in textile product and accessory design and innovation and in fashion communication design, and a doctorate in fashion design. The department is associated with the Centre for Textile Science and Technology (2C2T) and organises the UModa fashion shows.
