The University of Fortaleza (Unifor) offers a two-and-a-half-year course in Fashion Design within its Centre for Communication and Management Sciences. Students work in laboratories for flat and three-dimensional pattern making, design, textiles, sewing, printing and computer-aided pattern design, and receive an intermediate certificate as fashion design assistants at the end of the third semester. The course organises the Unifor fashion week (MUDE), where students present their own collections.
