In short

The School of Design of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Diseño UC) grew out of the Design Department founded in 1967 within the university's School of Art, and is located at El Comendador 1916 in Providencia, Santiago. Its single degree in Design trains designers across graphic, industrial, textile and spatial design, able to lead the development of an object or product while taking into account users, trends and the product's life cycle. Students work in analogue and digital prototyping labs and in specialised labs for textile design, lighting, new media and photography; the school also offers a Master's in Advanced Design.
