The Universidad Rafael Landívar in Guatemala City offers a four-year Licenciatura in Industrial Design, aimed at developing products, services and experiences for the Guatemalan context through humanistic, project and technological study areas. Students work in a models and prototypes workshop with textiles, wood, metals, resins, plastics, glass and composites, and in a co-creation workshop equipped with a CNC router, laser cutters and a 3D printer. According to the site, the programme began in the 1980s.
