In short

The Textile Engineering degree (Ingeniería en Textiles) of the Universidad Técnica del Norte in Ibarra was created on 18 July 1986 and since 2021 has belonged to the Faculty of Engineering in Applied Sciences. Since 2016 it has had laboratories for spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing, smart textiles, design and garment making, and physical and chemical testing. Graduates are trained to plan and manage research, design and production processes in the textile and clothing industry.
