In short
The École de design of the Université Laval is located in the La Fabrique building in Quebec City's Saint-Roch district; the university approved its creation in May 2012 within the Faculté d'aménagement, d'architecture, d'art et de design. Its bachelor's degree in product design trains students to design and develop products and related services from concept to manufacture, through six compulsory studios, one per session, combining design culture, ethnographic design, creativity, business management and technical knowledge such as materials, prototyping and production. Students use materials and fabrication workshops for ceramics and casting, wood, metal and rapid prototyping.
