The Faculty of Design Sciences of the University of Antwerp, in the city centre, offers among other programmes Product Development and Conservation-Restoration at bachelor's and master's level. Product Development teaches students to conceive and design innovative products and product-service combinations, starting from zero drawing experience; Conservation-Restoration combines art history and culture with chemistry, materials science and practical work in real studios, with learning tracks that include the heritage restorer.
