The Department of Textile & Fashion Design of the University of Home Economics, a public university in Lahore, teaches design and research in textiles and apparel through studio work. Its BS Textile Design, a four-year programme, trains students to turn ideas into printed, woven and knitted products, with technical courses in weaving, knitting, printing, dyeing and finishing and materials technology, together with colour theory, drawing, screen printing, computer-aided design and textile history.
