In short
The Faculty of Architecture and Art of the University of Kashan has teaching groups in archaeology, handicrafts, carpet, architectural technology and restoration, advanced art studies and architectural engineering. Its carpet group teaches the theory and practice of hand-woven carpets, with design and dyeing specialisations and workshops and laboratories; the university says it was the first in Iran to admit students to the bachelor's degree in carpet, from 1996, and it has offered a master's degree in carpet since 2012. The handicrafts group runs its own workshops, for example in pottery and tile-making.
