The School of Arts & Media of the University of Lancashire teaches fashion design and ceramics at its Preston campus. The three-year BA (Hons) Fashion Design is mostly studio- and workshop-based, with modules on sewing, construction, pattern cutting and material properties and a starter kit of sewing tools and pattern materials, plus a foundation year and placement option. The MA Ceramics covers all areas of ceramic work, from craft and design and tableware to sculptural and architectural ceramics, with workshop and studio facilities including specialist ceramic and digital prototyping equipment.
