In short

The University of Northampton teaches fashion and product design at its Waterside campus. Its BA and top-up degree in Fashion, Textiles, Footwear & Accessories combine the theory of fashion design with practical skills developed in specialist workshops led by industry professionals, working with materials that include textiles and leather; the university also offers a PhD in Leather Technology. The BA (Hons) Product Design covers sketching, prototyping, 3D modelling and CAD, with access to a Fab-Lab and workshops for 3D printing and scanning, CNC routing and laser cutting.
