At its Stoke-on-Trent campus the University of Staffordshire teaches the BA (Hons) Product, Furniture, Ceramics, a design-and-make degree in wood, ceramics, composites and metal with material and maker workshops, which lets students specialise in the final year as product designers, ceramicists or furniture makers. Its BA (Hons) Fashion offers pathways in Fashion and Textiles, Design and Technology, and Marketing and Communication, with pattern cutting, garment construction, CAD and digital fabric printing. Both courses include live projects with industry and an optional placement year.
