In short
The Department of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art of the University of West Attica, part of its School of Applied Arts and Culture, was founded in 1985. Its undergraduate programme gives theoretical and practical training in the documentation, conservation treatment, protection and presentation of archaeological finds and works of art, drawing on the natural sciences, the humanities, art and technology. Since 2017-2018 it has run a master's programme in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, and since 2003-2004 an inter-departmental master's in Museum Studies.
