The College of Communication, Art, and Design of the University of the Philippines Cebu, on Gorordo Avenue in Lahug, Cebu City, runs a Product Design programme with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Certificate of Fine Arts. The programme began as Industrial Design within the Fine Arts degree and later became Product Design; its courses include materials, product design techniques, furniture design, apparel design and research and product development. Students work in the FabLab UP Cebu (3D printing, laser cutting, CNC milling, textile printing) and in MATIX, a lab for experimenting with traditional, sustainable and new materials.
