In short
The Faculty of Arts and Design of the West University of Timișoara was re-established in 1990, after an eleven-year interruption, and took its current name in 2007; since 2002 it has been housed in an eighteenth-century listed building in the city centre. Its Department of Design and Applied Arts offers three-year bachelor's programmes in fashion – clothing design, object design and digital creation, decorative arts, environmental design and graphic design. The faculty's history notes that its textile and decorative arts courses have included tapestry, fashion printing, ceramics–glass–metal and textile design.
