The School of Art & Design of UW-Stout Polytechnic in Menomonie, Wisconsin, offers B.F.A. degrees that include industrial and product design, studio art and interior design, a B.S. in fashion design and development, an apparel, soft goods and footwear minor and an MFA in design. The fashion programme, formerly called Apparel Design and Development, prepares students to design and develop ready-to-wear, including sportswear, knitwear, technical products and special-occasion garments, ending with an industry internship and a final collection. The school has dedicated studios and labs, including a ceramics studio and a metal forming and finishing lab, and holds an annual student fashion show.
