Van Vocational School of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University was founded in 1992 with the opening of a Handicrafts programme and started teaching in the building of the university's handicrafts centre on the Zeve campus. Today it offers two-year associate-degree programmes, among them Traditional Handicrafts in its own department, with work in embroidery and felt, and Furniture and Decoration.
