Vancouver Community College is a public college with campuses at 1155 East Broadway and 250 West Pender Street in Vancouver. Its two-year Jewellery Art and Design diploma, taught at the Downtown campus, covers metal techniques, drawing and design, jewellery history, gemmology, digital jewellery design and business, and the college says 75-90% of the time is spent in the workshops; students can leave after the first year with a certificate. VCC also offers full- and part-time fashion programmes in which students design, draft and construct garments, with final collections shown at Vancouver Fashion Week.
