In short
Vårdinge folkhögskola is a folk high school at Edesta near Mölnbo, in the countryside south-west of Stockholm. Its craft courses include Ceramics (one or two years: coiling, slab-building, throwing and modelling, slips and glazes, raku, salt and wood firing, from porcelain cups to earthenware sculpture), Wood and Form (a one-year foundation in furniture-making, design and sloyd, with an optional second year), a glass course (fusing, slumping, glass casting, mosaic, glassblowing and cold working) and Art and Crafts, a one-year course covering silversmithing, textiles, wood and ceramics. The school also teaches painting and sculpture and organic gardening.
