The School of Design Innovation of Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington is in the Cuba Street arts district of Wellington, on the Te Aro campus. Within the three-year Bachelor of Design Innovation, students can major in Industrial Design, which covers the design of physical products from sketching and modelling to prototyping and production, or in Fashion Design Technology, which covers garment construction, textile design and digital approaches to clothing the body. Teaching is mostly studio-based, with 3D printers, laser cutters and digital fabrication equipment; postgraduate study is also offered.
