In short
The Kaunas Faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts continues the tradition of the Kaunas Art School founded in 1922; textiles, ceramics, architecture, interiors and glass were taught again in Kaunas from 1959, the Kaunas Art Institute was re-established in 1991 and became a faculty of the academy in 2002. Its bachelor programmes include Textile and Fashion, 3D Art Objects: Glass, Sculpture, Ceramics, Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Applied Graphics, Painting and integrated Architecture, alongside master's programmes. It also runs the Muitinė gallery and an open school of art, design and architecture.
