In short

Warlukurlangu Artists, established in 1985, is a not-for-profit art centre 100% owned by its Aboriginal artists in Yuendumu, 290 km north-west of Alice Springs, known for its acrylic paintings and limited-edition prints; it also supports artists from the Warlpiri communities of Nyirripi and Yuelumu. Anyone in Yuendumu and Nyirripi can take part in its activities, whether they have just started painting or have painted for many years. The centre states that several generations of one family often paint there together, so that younger people are instructed in the stories and designs of their traditional culture.
