Waters & Acland combines a furniture workshop and a school of fine furniture making at Staveley Mill Yard in Staveley, near Kendal in the Lake District; it says it has been making furniture and teaching since 2006. Its longer courses include two- and three-term Designer Maker programmes and a twelve-week course covering traditional and contemporary techniques and furniture design.
