The School of Art and Design of West Virginia University, part of the College of Creative Arts and Media in Morgantown, offers degrees in a broad range of visual art and design disciplines. Ceramics is taught within the BFA and MFA in Art and Design with an emphasis in 3D Studio and Public Art, covering hand-working and throwing; the school states that it is one of only a few in the United States with a ceramics production line, whose student work is sold at twice-yearly pottery sales.
