In short
Wuhan Textile University is a comprehensive university in Wuhan, Hubei Province, centred on engineering; its predecessor, Wuhan Textile Engineering Institute, was founded in 1958, and it has had its present name since 2010. Its School of Fashion, which began enrolling students in 1987, offers fashion and apparel design, garment design and engineering, and performance, with tracks in fashion design, knitwear and sportswear. Its School of Innovation Design teaches product design and a textile design programme based on traditional printing, dyeing and weaving, with courses in hand dyeing, hand weaving and fibre art.
