Xinyang Engineering Vocational College is a full-time engineering college at associate level, approved by the Henan provincial government, on Xueyuan Road in Gushi County, Xinyang. Its School of Textiles and Clothing, set up in September 2023, teaches textile machinery technology, modern textile technology with an AI textile design track (colour and pattern, fabric structure and design, sample weaving, spinning and weaving), garment design and craft with an AI design track (handcraft accessories design, CAD pattern making, 3D simulation, garment structure and making, knitwear), and textile inspection and trade. It runs the Dabie Mountain Textile and Clothing Industry College with the Gushi textile association and local companies, and has labs for pattern making, sewing and sample weaving.
