The School of Art, Design and Printing is one of the schools of Yaba College of Technology in Yaba, Lagos, which began as Yaba Technical Institute in 1947. Its origins are in the Department of Art and Printing, started in 1952; a three-year certificate in fashion design was introduced in 1965, textile design followed in 1976, and the department became a school in 1981. Today it has four departments: Fine Art, Industrial Design, Printing Technology and Graphic Design. According to the school's history, Industrial Design covers fashion design (ND and HND, with a day-release certificate in dressmaking), textile design and ceramics, while Fine Art offers painting and sculpture.
