In short
Yancheng Polytechnic College is a provincial public higher vocational college in Yancheng, Jiangsu, whose history goes back to the Yancheng Textile Industry School of 1964 and a light industry school of 1987; the two merged in 2004 as Yancheng Textile Vocational and Technical College, renamed in 2013. Its School of Digital-Intelligent Textiles and Clothing, the oldest in the college, teaches modern textile technology, textile inspection and trade, fashion and accessory design, garment design and craft, and textile design, and has a national textile and clothing training base. The college also runs the Yancheng Intangible Cultural Heritage College, founded in 2023 with the Jiangsu culture and tourism department and the city government, which teaches arts and crafts design and holds a provincial platform for porcelain engraving.
