In short
The Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) offers Industrial Design as a major of its Bachelor's programme in Design, a six-semester course taught in German that starts in the autumn semester. Students learn to design consumer and capital goods for industrial production, taking into account users' cultural and social needs, production conditions and sustainability. Teaching and research in industrial design are based on social relevance, technology and ecology, and students can add one or two minors from other disciplines to their major.
