In short
Zhengzhou Technology and Business University is a private full-time undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education in 2016, which grew out of the Wanfang College of Science and Technology of Henan Polytechnic University, set up in 2002; it has campuses in Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou, and in Lankao. Its School of Engineering teaches a bachelor's programme in gemmology and materials technology that combines gemmology with intelligent manufacturing, with courses in crystallography and mineralogy, gem cutting, gem instruments and identification, jewellery design and computer-aided jewellery design, Chinese jade culture and jewellery appraisal, in partnership with a Henan jewellery testing company. Its School of Arts, which has admitted students since 2009, offers bachelor's programmes including fashion and accessory design, environmental design and visual communication design.
