Zhengzhou Ligong Vocational College began in 1995 as a training school and became a full-time higher vocational college in 2010 with provincial approval; it has the Longhu and Kaiyuan campuses and a training base near the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, with its admissions office in the Longhu university town of Xinzheng. Most of its 49 programmes are in engineering, transport and IT; its School of Art and Education teaches fashion and accessory design, product art design, environmental art design, visual communication and digital media art design. The fashion programme is geared to Zhengzhou's women's trousers industry, with lower-garment pattern making and construction, draping, CAD pattern making, 3D design and fashion buying, and a 2026 course taught tie-dye, stencil dyeing, batik and cyanotype.
