In brief

The Smithsonian Craft Show, organised by the Smithsonian Women's Committee at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, presents American contemporary craft and design. Each year a new panel of three experts reviews hundreds of applications and selects the exhibitors, in categories including basketry, ceramics, decorative fibre, furniture, glass, jewellery, leather, metal, paper, wearable art and wood. Visionary and Delphi awards honour artists of the fine craft community.
